Twitch analysis for 17-23 of July

Posted Jul 23, 2018

Last week of online streaming was very hot. The "magnificent quartet" was formed — the first four positions of our top are unshakable. PUBG Invitational will be held next week, so it is likely that the Bluehole’s Royal Battle will go ahead and take the 3rd or even the 2nd position.

CS:GO became so popular after long-awaited ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018 started. World of Warcraft attracted many viewers as the big pre-patch was released with new reworked game mechanics. The new expansion Battle for Azeroth is almost ready, it will bring even more new and old viewers to the game.

Overwatch continues to confidently fall down. There are many reasons for that. For example, it broadcasts on the US TV (Overwatch League Playoffs broadcasts on Disney, ESPN and ABC channels), which automatically reduces the number of Twitch viewers. This situation also demonstrates the decreasing interest of spectators to the discipline.

Silence before the storm — that is how we can describe Dota 2 right now. The International 2018 will be started shortly, that is why all teams are preparing for the most important event of the year.
